  The most disturbing of the multiple Alexandra pole collapses occurred at the Alexandra netball courts. This pole has been in the ground a relatively modest (by Aurora "standards"!) Fifty odd years. Like many of the poles before out, it carried high voltage ( the feed to Omakau) but this thome out also castigated a transformer. The last time I saw one of those hit the ground was also in Alex... on the day I left the company.
  It suffered from extensive groundline rot, just like most of the poles before it. Can't wait for Aurora's laughable "investigation into these four.
