Aurora - Fundamentals have changed for the worse.

Russell Garbutt is one hundred percent right, Richard Fletcher is 100% wrong. The fundamentals at Aurora have simply changed for the worse.

The level of understanding about the network has dropped. The institutional knowledge about the network has been destroyed. The company is the very opposite of open and honest.

John Campbell, the man who rewrote a safety alert about more than a thousand missing red tags on poles so that it was meaningless, has been promoted to General Manager with responsibility for risk! Steve Thompson, the man who time and again told you that this is a problem simply of public perception is still chairman of the board. Aurora still boast about nailing poles as if it was a good thing! Aurora continue to use Deuar testing without a shred of evidence that it works.

And why did the CODC only ask Aurora to attend? Who has the better track record of predicting outcomes here, them or me? What, exactly is Tim Cadogen scared of?

I'm told that Aurora conceded, at the meeting, that their story about the fire they started in Alexandra and the involvement of a tree at site was bullshit. A story that I have seen attributed to John Campbell. Don't be encouraged by their admission, they were forced into it.

God save us - because Richard Fletcher certainly won't.

Aurora explains itself to CODC
An Aurora Energy deputation has assured Central Otago district councillors it is doing everything possible to improve the condition and reliability...
