Politicians and taxes

...I'd include costs - rubbish bags, parking, dog registration, permits-inspections-approvals etc etc. And there's rates & GST. So many ways of funding their snafus and visions.

There should be a tax on politicians who implement any new tax. I'm serious. Each time they vote for a tax/to increase an existing tax beyond CPI adjustments, they should be taxed 5% of their total pay for that year. We'd see A LOT less "Oooh and this tax!" crap...
